Our logo is more than just a simple jar with sparkles inside. Those sparkles are fireflies—symbols of magic, imagination, and curiosity. Just as fireflies light up the night, we hope the stories in our boxes will illuminate young minds and hearts. Each firefly represents a spark of creativity, the wonder of discovery, and the joy of learning, reminding us that every child carries the potential to shine brightly in their own unique way.

Our hand picked, pre-loved children's books are in good to great condition ready for your little one to enjoy for years to come. With every Gillykind box your reader receives, at least five books are given new life rather than ending up in landfills.

Meet the Founder

Growing up with a love for books, I quickly realized how stories could open doors to new worlds, spark imagination, and foster a deep connection with others. This passion for storytelling and the joy of sharing books has stayed with me throughout my life, eventually leading me to create Gillykind.

With a background in Anthropology and Entreprenuership, as well as a long-time childcare provider, I wanted to build a company that not only provides children with access to great stories but does so with purpose. Gillykind is my way of combining a love for literacy with a strong commitment to sustainability and community. Although I am not a parent myself yet, I understand how important, and challenging, it is to raise thoughtful, kind, and curious future world changers.

Creating Gillykind Book Co. has been a journey of love, imagination, and a little bit of magic. I’m excited to bring that magic into your home, one book at a time. Whether you're looking to nurture a love for reading or to create meaningful moments with your children, I hope Gillykind helps foster a lifelong love of learning, curiosity, and adventure.

Gillykind's Founder and CEO dabbled in childhood literacy firsthand just before graduating high school by writing, illustrating, and self-publishing a children's picture book about her dog Millie. It is still available on Amazon today for anyone wanting to join in on the adventures.
